Anaerobic digestion enables substitution of unrenewable energy sources and does not aggravate the greenhouse effect. In comparison with the technologies the thermal conversion of phytomass, the anaerobic digestion of pyhtomass decreases production of CO2 more intensively and in addition it does not devaluate plant nutrients, particularly the nitrogen. We can suppose, that anaerobic digestion of biomass will be in the third millenium a part of accumulative biotechnological cycles in connection to some other systems of ecological production of energy."@en .
