A kochia (Kochia scoparia) biotype that was not controlled by atrazine and acetolactate synthase (ALS)-inhibiting herbicides was found at the railway station in Prague-Bubny in 1996. Greenhouse and laboratory experiments determined resistance to atrazine and ALS-inhibiting herbicides in this biotype.
