"The radiogenic isotopes, geochemical dat and the zircon typology of metavolcanics indicate two distinct volcanic provinces in the southern part of the Vrbno Group. In its western belt occur the calc-alkaline basalts-andesites and rhyolites, the last with a volcanic-arc geochemical signature with a primitive Nd isotopic composition. On the contrary, the zircon typology and rock geochemistry of acid volcanics in the eastern belt resemble WPG origin. Subsequently the complexes were penetrated by dolerite dykes derived from strongly depleted mantle (MORB). The ascertainment of the Devonian volcanics having an afinity to the destructive margin during the closure of the Rhenohercynian basin represents a different feature in the comparison with the Rhenohercynian Zone in the SW England and in the Germany where only the rift-related bimodal volcanics were described until now."@en .
