To evaluate a disconnection hypothesis of psychosis in our model we have recorded cortical EEG from 6 electrode pairs in freely moving rats in ketamine, amphetamine and 4-bromo-2,5-dimethoxyphenyletylamine (2C-B). We have concentrated on frontal and temporal regions and in addition to EEG spectral analysis we have also focused on the measurement of brain functional connectivity - EEG coherences. Male Wistar rats (breed Kon\u00E1rovice, Czech Rep.), b.w 250 - 300g were used in all experiments. Electrodes were implanted stereotactically on the surface of the cortex under halothane anesthesia. Seven days after surgery EEG recording was performed using a 21-channel BrainScope amplifier system. EEG signal was analyzed with Neuroguide Deluxe software v. 2.3.7.
