"The study explains direct and indirect economic effects of cultural and creative industries in the Czech Republic and it presents a list of possible methods of quantifying such effects. The most important part is devoted to structural analysis and input-output multipliers, based upon official data of the Czech Statistical Office. The multipliers for 126 industries of the Czech economy are compared mutually. The study is revealing that the cultural and creative industries usually generate above-average positive effects on economic production, GDP, employment and income, when compared to other industries of the Czech economy. Thus, investments to cultural services generate more jobs and income, as well as value added, then investments to other industries in the Czech economy. Furthermore, culture often attracts foreign tourists, who bring other new income with consequent multiplying economic effects and this revenue would never appear without culture (i.e. net benefits for the Czech economy)."@en .
