These pollutants include substances known as PPCP (Pharmaceuticals and Personal Care Products). In this paper, results of monitoring of five selected drugs (ibuprofen, diclofenac, carbamazepine, clofibric acid, salicylic acid) and three hormones (estrone, 17 \u03B2-estradiol and 17\u03B1-ethynylestradiol) are presented. Monitoring was carried out in four wastewater treatment plants of different size and aplied technology in the Czech Republic. Removal efficiency during the treatment process was determined for each substance.
