"In present paper we analyze the causes of decrease in runoff and natural resources of ground water in the Rakovnicky brook basin. Modelling of the hydrological balance has shown that the main reason for these decreases is the present climate change, an increase of air temperature in combination with more or less no change in mean annual precipitation in particular. Results of simulations indicate that land-use optimization (respecting practical limits) would have only marginal effects on water resources, though its positive effect on soil protection and improvement of ecological stability is evident. Therefore, we conclude that the most effective measure to increase the runoff in periods of hydrological drought is the accumulation of water in reservoirs."@en . "53" .
