"The Bl\u0161anka and Liboc River basins belong to the driest regions of the Czech Republic. In the last the last few years, problems with surface water scarcity in Bl\u0161anka River basin are getting worse. Low water level causes deterioration of water quality and restrictions of surface water abstraction are more frequent, especially during the growing season. Furthermore, the ecological function of the river is not fulfilled satisfactorily. It can be expected that with ongoing impacts of climate change the situation will become more critical. The paper describes results of the hydrological study which was carried out in the T. G. Masaryk Water Research Institute according to the requirements of the Oh\u0159e River Basin Authority.
