The aim of this study was to determine the composition of invertebrate community in the permanent spring areas in the Blanice river and Zlat\u00FD stream catchments. The samples of invertebrates from 83 representative spring areas were taken. The sampling of detritus and water for determination of physical and chemical parameters was made. Amounts of individuals in the samples were variable; they varied from 6 to 533 individuals. Considerable differences in taxonomical group distribution were recorded. In total, 16 000 individuals were determined. The most frequent groups were stoneflies and pea clams. The most common type of spring areas were helocrenes.
