Masaryk Water Research Institute with State Fund of Transport Infrastructure concluded the contract of project elaboration named \u201EThe Protection of Bridge Objects Against Its Destruction Effected by Flood Events\u201C. This contract has an applied experimental character. It is necessary to use physical modelling on hydraulic and aerodynamic models to achieve the correct results. In case of need physical modelling will be appended by 1D a 2D mathematical methods. For the purpose of that research a hydraulic model of water-course with three types of bridge constructions (arched bridge, girder bridge and lattice bridge) was built up true to scale 1 : 35. The building of that model has the aim in clarifying the causes of bridges destruction and subsequent proposal of such actions, which prevent from that situation.
