"A common analysis of nutrients available to plants (P, K, Ca, Mg) from forest soil samples is leaching by 1% citric acid solution. Considering new analytical methods, the citric acid leaching is often allowed to be obsolete. The article is dealing with results obtained by method mentioned above compared to repetitive analysis by Mehlich III method, which is legal to evaluate contents of nutrients available to plants in both the agricultural and forest soils.
