It is a contact-less full-area method for defects detection and composite and light weight structure analyses with respect of material and structural fault situated under the surface and for case when the faults are not possible to detect by means of visual methods. These typical defects are delamination, disbonding and impact damages which are called BVID. In compare with ultrasonic, X-ray and eddy currents methods the shearography enable very prompt checking of a large areas of the structure.
