"Progress of the biomedical engineering belongs among the CTU preferential projects. In order to ensure the realizability of this objective, the %22Centre for Biomedical Engineering %22 (CBE) was established at the CTU. The plan of the CBE development is divided into two research fields that are involved in the newly built CTU laboratories, i.e., the %22Lab. of Biomechanics of Man%22 and the %22Lab. of Computer Aided Diagnostic %22, with respect to a wide extend of biomedical activities undertaken at the CTU. The objective of the project consists in building up a unique research centre that will be able to solve both the fundamental and applied research issues linking up with the universities research centres, clinics and manufactories. Laboratory will enableto solve problems of biocompatible replacements of human joints; the influence of loading on the cortical remodelation; the fundamental research on both intact and pathological vascular mechanics; the stability of the cardiovascular polymer implants."@en .
