The methoxime is used in the Czech Army as an antidote against life threatening intoxications by nerve agents, but it may be also used by civil protection companies in case of organophosphate insecticide poisonings. The methoxime synthesis will be made on laboratory scale in the Department of Toxicology Faculty of Military Health Sciences University of Defence (DTFMHS). The optimal reaction conditions will be selected by choice of synthetic parameters (e.g. solvent, temperature, reaction time, equivalent of starting reactants) on account of minimization the expenses and maximization the reaction yield. The main aim of the proposed project is submission of the methoxime synthesis source material to CHemProtect a.s. company that will develop the multiscale synthesis of methoxime. The knowledge of laboratory preparation of acetylcholinesterase reactivators will be transferred from DTFMHS to local company CHemProtect a.s. that will be able to product desired compound on commercial scale.
