"The submitted Project titled \u201CResearch and Development of Precision Casting Technology of Radial Wheels of New Generation Turbochargers and New Types of Gas Turbines Blades\u201D is focused on the research, development and subsequent implementation of new progressive technologies of precise casting into serial production of highly complex radial wheels of turbochargers and blades of gas turbines. A Precision Casting Division, which is the entity submitting the Project within our joint-stock company is focused on the deliveries of castings from nickel and cobalt-based superalloys. At present, we receive requirements from renowned producers of turbochargers developing new generation turbochargers for deliveries of these castings. Designers\u2019 requirements of these modern turbochargers lead to the necessity to introduce better quality heat resistant materials. It is therefore necessary to optimize the technological procedure of precise casting so that the best possible mechanic properties of these castings are achieved. An inseparable part of the Project will thus be extensive tests of the mechanic properties focused namely on stress that are crucial with respect to the application of the material. The obtained findings will allow mastering of the production of new types of highly demanding castings from nickel and cobalt-based superalloys and subsequently the implementation of the serial production of the newly developed turbochargers. Thanks to a change in the production technology, the Project further contributes significantly to the reduction of energy and material demands of the production and to the enhanced protection of the environment. In the production of the ceramic shell moulds in most new types of castings water based binding agent will be applied in comparison to the binding agent currently used, which is mainly alcohol based.
