"The aim of this project is to set up the production of new single crystal materials based on aluminium oxide and multiply doped yttrium-aluminium oxide by using the Edge Film Growth (EFG) method. Such materials should be applied mostly in top hi-tech applications in electronic, optical, machinery and jewellery industries. The achieved results will be patented, published in the international scientific journals and commercialized until December 2014. New top world-class products (active jewellery stone, LED phosphor, newly shaped BSE detector, single crystal optical fiber, new single crystal materials, flashlamp for laser pumping, single crystal components for the devices and large area scintillators) are supposed to create revenue of about 50 millions CZK in 2017 year."@en .
