"The main goal of the project is to clarify phylogenetic relationships within the evolutionary lineage Platerodinina - Lyponiinina - Libnetinina of the family Lycidae (Coleoptera) and to propose a testable hypothesis on presumed phylogeny of the subtribe Libnetinina. Geographically restricted revisions of the genus Libnetis on alpha-taxonomic level will be elaborated. Only strictly monophyletic groups will be used in the classification. All accesible imanigal characters as external morphological charac ters, structure of mouth-parts, male and female genitalia atc. will be examined. Characters will be polarized using the out-group comparison method. Character states will be coded and analysed using the phylogenetic parsimony program Hennig 86. The most parsimonius tree will be employed for reclassification of studied taxa.
