"The occurrence of C. jejuni strains in food animals (poultry, pigs, beef) and environment of slaughter houses is evaluated. The frequency of C. jejuni occurrence in food of animal origin and in clinical isolates from humans is also evaluated. On the base of subtyping C. jejuni strains using PCR-RFLP method the antimicrobial susceptibilities of isolated strains will be determinated. The following antibiotics will be tested: ciprofloxacin, nalidixic acid, erytromycin, tetracycline, streptomycin, gentamycin and chloramphenicol. The occurrence of resistant strains in various groups will be compared. The aim is to find survey about the occurrence of resistant C. jejuni strains in the food chain and to establish the risk assessment of resistant C. jejuni strains transfer to human population."@en .
