In cases, when it is necessary to select %22applicable%22 alternative of flood protection measure, mostly we have to solve the conflict among feeling about dimension of protection, methodology of realization flood protection measures and financial sources available for those purposes. From water-management point of view, the best flood protection scenario is that one, which will save us against all floods. From economical point of view, the best solution is that one, which for as small money as possible will provide us with biggest protection of potential sources of flood damages.
