"Genetic resources are considered important wealth of mankind. It has been established, that genetic basis of many species has changed as the consequence of people activities. It is apparent, that genetic resources have to be protected, in order they can be used in efficient plant breeding, sustainable agricultre, as a source of alternative materials and also as a part of the enviroment. New technologies have been introduced in last couple of years, which can be used for more effective screeing andevaluation of genetic resources. Unlike AFLP and microsatelite (SSR) analysis, new methodologies are focused on actively transcribed gene regions. Hundreds or thousands of genes (alleles) could be spoted in form of microarrays and presence of certain alel or gene expression can be evaluated in one-step procedure. Information and clones available in ESTs, cDNA or genomic DNA interantional databases along with BAC libraries, which are available at co-author institute will be used to optimise developm"@en .
