There is a realistic presumption that the fact is also contributed to by serious changes of rootsystem. Architecture and physiological functionality of root systems will be studied in the air-polluted region of the Kru\u0161n\u00E9 hory Mts. the species in the research being European mountain ash, European larch, Norway spruce and alder. The trees will be of varied age and with a different degree of defoliation damage. The measurements will include a complex biometrical analysis of root systems, biomass, vitality and mycorrhizal infection of fine roots, type of mycorrhiza, health condition of root systemsand stems."@en . . .
