Monitoring the incidence of multidrug-resistant strains and the effect of initial antibiotic therapy on mortality in patients with regard to the adequacy and timeliness of deployment. The methodology of the solution lies in isolation and identification of pathogens from microbiological samples with biochemical identification tests and automated systems. Sensitivity to antibiotics will be tested according to standard dilution micromethod EUCAST criteria. Positive phenotypic results will be verified by polymerase chain reaction detecting the most frequently occurring genes. The identity of selected Enterobacteriaceae clinical isolates will be analyzed by comparing restriction fragment of genomic DNA separated by pulsed field gel electrophoresis."@en .
