Therefore genetically determined variations of physiological processess must exist that increase the risk of sudden death. Genetic variability of sudden death risk can occur besides other in processes of electrogenesis and conduction in myocardium. Myocardial ion channel genes mutations are the cause of increased SCD risk in so called electric heart diseases. In normal population ion channel genes polymorphisms can exist that under common situation do not influence duration of myocardial repolarization. But under %22stress conditions%22 (e. g. myocardial ischemia) they increase sudden death risk.
