Relationship between pro- and anti-inflammatory immune response influences the outcome of meningitis and represents a good treatment target. The relationship between both branches of intrathecal immune response will be evaluated using correlations of immune parameters, clinical course and the diseases outcome. Immunomodulation of the intrathecal immune reponses will be studied in vitro.
