"The project is aimed at design, analysis and optimisation of processes of material processing in semi-solid state with the objective to gain final products with highly fine grained microstructures and unique material properties. The main project objective is to manage experimental, model and simulation support for the design and optimisation of forming processes of materials in semi-solid state and their applications for the development of manufacturing technologies of small parts from high alloyed tool steels. Solution methodology of the project is based on closely linked most modern experimental and diagnostic methods with advanced methods of mathematical modelling and numerical simulations of material behaviour in semi-solid state. For this purpose it will be suitably applied and combined unique technological, laboratory and software equipment of both workplaces.
