"The aim of the proposed bilateral project is the investigation of the chemical modifications of the natural based wood filler for preparation of polylactide and its co-polymeres biocomposites. The outputs of this research will be new information about the possibilities of chemical modifications of the wood fillers and their effect on the mechanical and thermal properties of the polylactide based biocomposites. Besides that, the influence of polylactide morphology will be subsequent parameter of the proposed research. The received polylactide/wood composites are potentially interesting as biodegradable hard packaging materials, where transparency is not asked.
