"The aim of Project A is to improve the methods and conditions of in vitro maturation of oocytes in order to reach better developmental potential of fertilized oocytes.The criteria of morfological evaluation of oocytes used for in vitro maturation amd fer, tilization will be improved and different models of in vitro culture will be analysed in order to enhance the quality of meiotic maturation. Moreover, specific inhibitors of protein kinases will be used to prolongate meiotic maturation and to reach highe, r quality of cytoplasmic maturation. The aim of project B is to study an interplay between cell division kinases and MAP kinases during oocyte meiotic maturation and activation. Furthermore, the analysis of regulatory mechanism of Cdc2 kinase and MAP kin, ase activation in bovine and porcine oocytes will be performed.
