"The project will be focused on novel preparation of materials related to LiNiO2 and LiCoO2 by soft solution processing. Phases with spinel or hexagonal structures will be prepared by hydrothermal techniques with particular stress on desired shape of the, final mateial (e.g. thin film on various substrates) and well defined crystallinity. Synthesized materials will be characterized with respect to their activity towards lithium insertion. Particular importance will be given to implementation of in-situRam, an spectroscopy describing both the formation and and the insertion behavior of the material.
