"The principal objective of the project is to guarantee sustainable operation and development of the national research infrastructure - Magnetism and Low Temperature Laboratories \u2013 MLTL. The laboratories provide to scientific community unique possibilities for complex experimental investigation of physical phenomena and physical properties of novel materials in multiextreme conditions \u2013 at low temperatures, high magnetic fields and high external pressures \u2013 including well controlled sample preparation and characterization. In addition to ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation and maintenance of the infrastructure will be paid to the continuous updating of the existing experimental facilities, and helium liquifier. The strategic objective is the gradual provision of infrastructure for a broad international community for the implementation of the open access system, which will be based on the competition of experimental proposals submitted by external users rated by the MLTL Panel, primarily on the basis of scientific excellence. We expect that this process will lead to the gradual improvement of the quality of the scientific output ofr MLTL. Last but not least is the provision of options for specialized study in the doctoral and master's study program Physics at Charles University (Faculty of Mathematics and Physics) aimed at the use of the experimental methods for the study of novel materials and methods low temperature physics.
