"The goal of the VVI \u0158e\u017E targeted support project is to create conditions for long-term operation of important and unique experimental facilities \u2013 LVR-15 and LR-0 nuclear research reactors at Centru v\u00FDzkumu \u0158e\u017E s.r.o. (\u0158e\u017E Research Centre Ltd.). The project goals are to provide support for operations and activities crucial to integrated R&D activities in the area of nuclear research and nuclear power in the Czech Republic, are part of European Union research aims. Targeted support will provide opportunities for EU researchers in the European Union via an %22open access%22 approach. In light of nuclear energy's significant share in electricity production, proposed construction of additional nuclear blocks in the Czech Republic and participation in European research activities, nuclear research reactors are a necessary experimental base for addressing nuclear power plants' operational problems. They will also help clarify research topics for the application of new-generation reactors and fusion reactors with increased safety and operating efficiency, and are crucial for the study of the characteristics of new materials under irradiation. VVI \u0158e\u017E operation will provide a source of irradiation for materials research, radiopharmaceutical research and production, horizontal channels for the Nuclear Physics Institute ASCR neutron laboratory and activation analyses and irradiation for the EFDA and ITER projects of the EU. VVI \u0158e\u017E operation will also facilitate the preparation and implementation of reactor neutron physics experiments for mixed neutron and gamma radiation field dosimetry research, and integral experiments enabling verification of computing algorithms for new and existing nuclear power reactor types."@en .
