"The goal of this project is a utilization of the transfer of linear and angular momentum from photons to nanoparticles and submicrometer sized particles immersed in liquid and generation of self-arranged colloidal waveguides. We will focus on the topical and not fully explored area of generation of colloidal waveguides in spatially structured light patterns, on the study of inter-particles interaction and on the practical utilization of acquired knowledge in the modification of concentration of solid particles in heterogeneous solution and spatial intensity profiles of propagating laser beams. We will especially deal with the formation of colloidal structures in counter-propagating interfering and non-interfering laser beams with various spatial intensity profiles and in optical lattices made by interference of several co-propagating laser beams.
