"The goal of the submitted project is to develop and construct a modular measuring system for selected applications and specific requirements of measurement in the real environment, to modify the offer of the system consisting of a measuring device (Z-meter), probes with a definable total length and with a possible option of the number of measuring sensors, each of them having its determined position, to enable the battery source of electric power of the system to be recharged from a solar panel in the case that the system is permanently mounted at a monitored site, to minimize the energy consumption of the system while enabling continuous or long-lasting discrete measurement. One of the most important properties of the concept is the capability of data processing online and informing the user about the situation on the basis of the achievement of pre-defined measured values so that it is possible, if necessary, to respond immediately to a situation that has occurred and to act. However, one fact is still important \u2013 it is an indirect measuring method and, therefore, calibration is necessary to interpret results in corresponding variables. The method of electrical impedance spectrometry enables the indication of changes in electrical impedance in space and time. The principle is the monitoring of electrical impedance of porous substances in complex form, whereby it is possible to monitor both changes caused by a change in water content (measurement of the real frequency-independent part of electrical impedance) and also changes, if necessary, in their material composition (measurement of the imaginary frequency-dependent component of electrical impedance). The benefit of the project consists in a wide range of applications, in which there is an assumption that the measuring and processing system can be used in link with an optimized measuring set for a given combination of problems to be solved."@en .
