"In the last few years, different types of composite constructions, consisting of glass and another material, are analyzed or even newly developed focusing on an optimal structural interaction between both materials. The objective aim of the project is to investigate behaviour of steel-glass beam under the loading considering residual load capacity, the post fracture behaviour, lateral and torsional stability. The methods of project solution will be based on research coming out of theoretical analysis, experiments a numerical modeling (using finite elements method) followed by verification, evaluation and comparison of results and parametric studies. The results will be applicable as theoretical background of technical documents for design of composite beams and will be published in impacted journals. The improvement of scientific knowledge in the field of actual behaviour of composite glass elements and its interaction within the structural system will be the basic result of project solution."@en . .
