"A reconstruction of the climate development and changes in the hydrological regime will be performed at selected localities, for the period of last 2000 years and since the last glacial cycle. Variability including changes in ozone will be analyzed and scenarios of climatic changes caused by the greenhouse effect will be constructed. The qualitative and quantitative variability of water resources in river catchments will be evaluated. The effect of climatic factors including meso- and microclimate as well as the impact of anthropogenic changes (eutrophication, acidification, air pollution) on the structure of biological communities, biochemical processes and water and energy fluxes will be studied in soil, forest, wetland, fishpond, reservoir and selected urban and rural ecosystems. A prognosis of possible consequences will be based on evaluation of long-term meteorological, hydrological and ecosystem studies and application of mathematical models."@en . .
