"The aim of the proposed project is to fill in and to make wider the research topic of our workplace, which is engaged in XUV sources based on the fast capillary discharge. The research will be focused on testing and comparison of capillaries with various inner diameters and made of various materials; an influence of these capillaries on the generation XUV emission will be studied. Dynamics of plasma compression of the discharge plasma will be explored by a direct method, which will enable us to adjust initial and boundary conditions of capillary discharge to obtain at compression an optimal active medium for an amplification of spontaneous emission. A new laser-triggered XUV source based on the capillary discharge was designed and is being assembled. This apparatus will make possible to study a capillary discharge emission at non-traditional energy transitions (recombination pumping scheme).
