"The stability of the Newtonian film flowing down an oscillating wall will be studied the aim to predict the effect of parallel wall on the flow character in the liquid film. The modified Orr-Sommerfeld problem, formulated for the oscillatory boundary condition on the wall, will be solved analytically (long-wave approximation) and numerically. The finding of the wave inception criterion and the calculation of wave growth rates for various oscillation parameters will enable us to direct the following experiments to such oscillation regimes, which could contribute to the stabilization or destabilization of the film flow. The experimental study of this flow situation will cover a wide range of the operation parameters (flow ratem inclination angle, liquid properties, parameters of oscillations) and will be performed for several model liquids."@en .
