"The maximum expeditiousness of an analytical method can be reached only when the optimum separation conditions are set taking into account the composition of the sample and its impact on the separation processes, selection of the optimum separation medium and the maximum exploitation of the available instrumentation. A collection of rules and a database of information making possible to select easily the optimum working conditions for trace analyses irrespective of the composition of the sample matrix will be created using three approaches: 1.based on a theoretical analysis of the problem the optimum separation arrangement will be designed by mathematical calculations using physico-chemical parameters of the compounds taking part in the separation process. 2. Computer simulations developed in cooperation with a foreign partner will be applied to solve some very difficult tasks. 3.
