"During the last years, an extended database of the thermal plasma parameters from all available satellite measurements has been created in collaboration of the DUA IAP ASCR and NASA GSFC. The the proposed project will take use of the potential of this database to a better understanding of the thermal plasma variations in dependence on geophysical conditions. This database will be continuously complemented by available data from new projects and will be used to create new empirical models of temperatures and densities. The research staff has at its disposal two mathematical models; a) one developed at the DUA IAP ASCR, and b) the FLIP model developed at the University of Alabama, USA. Using these models and the measured data an attempt will be done to construct %22data assimilated%22 models.
