The creep measurements of the materials completed until now are conducted under conditions leading to relatively high strain rates, which can be easily measured. The conditions does not relate to the conditions of the proposed use of the materials. The existing techniques to measure very low creep rates are convenient for the ductile materials only. The aim of the proposed project is twofold. On the practical level, it is the development of the techniques to measure very low creep rates on the prospective high strength materials with limited ductility, and the measurement of the basic creep characteristics of the selected types of such materials.
