"The aim of the project is the development of hypoplastic constitutive models. A basic version of the hypoplastic model for clays materials has been developed by the applicant. It has been demonstrated that the model is capable of extension to non-standard materials - presence of the state boundary surface allowed to incorporate the effects of meta-stable structure. This fact is promising for further development of the model. In the project, incorporation of the influence of double-porosity and suction will be studied. Derivation of mathematical formulations of new models will be supported by suitable laboratory experiments on double-porosity and unsaturated materials. Different experimental data will be used to validate the models on the single-element level. The new models will be implemented into finite element program Tochnog. After a study of time-integration algorithms, a suitable case history will be back-analysed to demonstarte predictive capabilities of the new models."@en .
