"The project suggests experimental investigations of processes of the onset and evolution of coherent structures originating by mixing of a free plasma flow with the surrouding media. The dynamic structure formation will be investigated locally by measuring the temporal evolution of the local radiation emission and globally on the basis of the schlieren and photographic methods. The analysis of the experimental data will be based on nonlinear dynamics methods including FFT, calculations of fractaldimensions, analysis of the phase locking of subharmonic frequencies and digital analysis of photographic records reflecting the development of vortex structures in the view, the project aims at studies of the influence of local dissipative processes on formation of vortex paths on the boundary between a free plasma flow and surrounding colder media."@en . .
