Employment of this experimental method in investigation of fatique processes in used reactor components could contribute significantly to reliability and nuclear safety of reactor facilities. Hower, used critical components produced mostly of stainless steels have became strongly radioactive. The measurement of relatively week neutron diffraction signal superimposed on very strong gamma radiation backgroung represents a main problem when employing this method. Strong gamma radiation can results in degradation process in used neutron detectors. The aim of the proposed project lies in development of the original experimental arrangement avoiding the mentioned problem and introduce this method into the routine operation in NPI Rez.
