"The essence of the proposed project is centered around the development of complex and refined experimental approaches that wil allow to explain conditions under which the protooncogene c-src operates. C-src not only acts as an organizer of social cell behaviour, as an important element in principal signal transduction pathways , but also as a factor involved in regulation of cell differentiation and mitosis. On the other hand a number of ways are known to be involved in c-src transformation to its oncogene, v-src. A new way leading to oncogene formation will be defined , and its activation will be studied in relation to protooncogenic activation and disturbance. A special case of c-src activation is related to its conformational change and probabltakes place in several human tumours.
