"We intend to build and run a specialized laboratory in which the combustion of wastes and biomass will be studied on a 200 kW pilot plant. The main pragmatic interest is the applied research of combusting of difficult and ecologically hazardous materialsincluding the design of new contacting units. The related fundamental research will deal with the reaction kinetics and transport processes in dispersion systems containing solid particles and aerosols. In particular, de novo syntheses of polyhalogenatedorganic compounds on catalytically highly active surfaces of fly ashes in flue gases will be studied under real technological conditions. The technical facilities of the centrum would be utilised by universities for teaching.
