Their use in the design of new chelators for molecular imaging opens new routes for improvement of the complex stabilities and formation rates. Only negligible attention has been paid to their coordination behavior. Within the project, geminal diphosphinates, their amine-containing derivatives and macrocyclic ligands containing geminal diphosphinate group will be synthesized.
