"Even by steel with simple alloying strategy remarkably good mechanical properties especially high balance of strength and ductility can be achieved by using innovative methods of thermo-mechanical treatment. In comparison with the classical treatment this brings significant advantages for a future utilization of modern, high strength and affordable steels. To achieve optimal properties it is necessary to understand basic principles of dependence of mechanical properties on structure, its composition, morphology and on presence of retained austenite, which represents an important component of AHSS. Recently, three new treatments have been developed. Despite of being very similar, a wide range of properties can be achieved by their application. The retained austenite plays a big role. Even thought similar principles of austenite stabilization are used in the processes, the austenite occurs in various morphological forms. A clarification of this phenomenon, testing of acquired knowledge on material models and gradual optimization of processing parameters form the basis of the project."@en . . .
