"The main goal of the proposal is a realistic modeling of relation between micro-structure of particulate composite and its global characteristics. The solution is based on finite element model and fracture mechanics approach. The modeling and calculations are aimed to investigation of polymeric particulate composites with soft polymer matrix fulfilled by rigid particles.\u00A0 Generally, the addition of rigid particles to a polymer matrix will have an embrittling effect on the composite. The presence of the interphase between particles and matrix changes the final mechanical properties of the composite. The composite will be modeled as a three-phase continuum and numerically simulated on a micro and macro level scale. Special attention is devoted to the influence of geometry and material properties of the interphase on macro and micro crack behavior. Stress distribution will be determined for elastoplastic matrix and for a variety of particle sizes and shapes.
