"Sperm quality is essential for fertilization and undisturbed embryonic development. Poor semen quality results in decreased or low numbers of progeny in a litter with consequent economic losses in animal herds. Besides functional and morphological parameters of ejaculate quality, it is necessary to evaluate a genetic aspect, as it is important for undisturbed embryonic and foetal development. Meiotic disorders and disturbed chromatin integrity are the major genetic aspects of sperm quality. Relationships between chromatin integrity and meiotic disorders in bull sperm will be studied within the project. The results will be correlated with results of sperm analysis. The impact of frequency of aneuploidies in selected sperm chromosomes on frequency of aneuploidies in embryos from selected bulls will be investigated. Results obtained by evaluation of sperm from all bulls and embryos from selected bulls will be compared with the success rates of the in vitro fertilization. The risk of"@en . .
