"Plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition of carbon nanotubes"@en . . "2015-01-22+01:00"^^ . "The project deals with the synthesis of carbon nanotubes (CNT) and nanofibers (CNF) by means of PECVD. The synthesis will be carried out in capacitively and inductively coupled radio frequency glow discharges and a unique method using atmospheric pressure microwave torch will be studied too. The deposition process will be investigated by optical emission and mass spectroscopy. Discharges will be characterized by electrical measurements. Moreover, the initial phase of the CNT and CNF growth will be studied inclusive of the preparation of metal catalysts. The catalyst thin films will be deposited by magnetron sputtering and vacuum evaporation. The prepared samples will be characterized by TEM and SEM, AFM and STM, Raman spectroscopy, XPS, XRD andinnovative method MALDI. The project will be focused also on the study of possible applications of CNTs and CNFs, especially preparation of nanocomposite materials interesting in terms of mechanical properties and electromagnetic shielding, study of"@en . . .
