"The subject matter of the project is a study of the impact of substituted elements on Verwey transition, spin reorientation transition and on hyperfine field of Fe nuclei on substituted magnetites with the spinel structure with use of NMR method.Magnetite is a mixed valence compound with half of the octahedral sites occupied by Fe3+ ions. Problem of the electronic structure of magnetite belongs to the major challenges of the solid state physics - there is still no consensus on the character ofthe charge carriers and on the change of this character with temperature. The experimental basis for the hyperfine field study is a NMR pulse spectroscopy of the 57Fe isotope with increased sensitivity, resolution and other methodical improvementsdeveloped during the past few years. A substituted element affects the size and anisotropy of the hyperfine field of 57Fe nuclei in its neighbourhood.
